Yelapa Day Trip
Choose your boat and make Yelapa your destination.
This is a tour itinerary that can be enjoyed aboard any of our private boats. Simply choose the boat that best suits your group and select the recommended number of hours:
Panga: 5–6 hours recommended
Yacht or Catamaran: 8 hours recommended
Because pangas are faster and more maneuverable, they can reach Yelapa in less time. Our yachts and catamarans offer a more leisurely cruising experience, so we recommend allowing approximately 8 hours to fully enjoy the trip.
Discover Yelapa
Hidden along the southern coast of Banderas Bay, Yelapa is a charming village of around 1,500 residents that feels a world away from Puerto Vallarta. Accessible primarily by boat, this laid-back coastal community is known for its beautiful beaches, traditional village atmosphere, and waterfalls.
Cruise south along the bay, taking in the coastline and scenery before arriving in Yelapa. Once there, explore the village on foot and make your way to Yelapa’s famous waterfall.
Along the way, you’ll find some of our favorite local spots, including Trini and his famous micheladas, topped with spicy vegetables and shrimp — definitely worth trying!
After exploring the village, relax on the beach or stop for an optional lunch and enjoy some of Yelapa’s fresh local seafood. We recommend trying the coconut shrimp or a regional favorite, aguachile.
Depending on the length of your tour, you can also add extra snorkeling, extra beach time, additional waterfalls, or another beautiful stop along the southern coastline.

Departure & Dock Fees
Some marinas charge a small departure or arrival dock fee, which is payable in cash on the day of your tour.
Additionally, departures from certain docks may require a one-hour relocation fee, depending on the requested pickup location. Any applicable dock fees or relocation fees will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation, which can be paid via credit card, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Zelle. If you book online, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking.
Shortly after booking you will receive a confirmation e-mail on where to meet, what to bring, what to expect, etc., that you can share with your group.
