What to Expect on Your Marietas Islands Tour
The Marietas Islands are some of the most beautiful islands in Banderas Bay. The profound watery depths that encircle the islands provide snorkeling opportunities with the clearest visibility, and the hidden beach we visit is a true gem of Mexico.
The crater at the hidden beach is said to have been created by target practice done by the Mexican Navy. A bomb they exploded opened a hole on top of the island, now known as Lover’s Beach.
On our private Isla Marietas tour, you will be able to explore the hidden beach, coral reefs, and other beautiful islands, as well as relax on the beach called Isla Nopalera. Guided by our all-star guides! You will also encounter the blue-footed boobies, a rare bird with beautiful blue feet that only nests in a couple of places in the world and find sanctuary on the islands.

*Hidden beach access is not guaranteed. Rarely can we not enter the hidden beach, but sometimes, you can be denied entrance due to weather, capacity restrictions, or other reasons. We do not provide refunds for no entrance.

- 8:30 AM – Depart from your selected marina and begin cruising northwest along the beautiful coastline toward the Marietas Islands National Park.
- Enjoy the scenic journey while keeping an eye out for dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, and seasonal whales (December–March).
- Upon arrival at the Marietas Islands, snorkel in the crystal-clear waters and explore the stunning rock formations, beaches, and marine life.
- Enter the world-famous Hidden Beach, where you’ll have time to take photos, explore this unique natural wonder, and enjoy one of Mexico’s most iconic destinations.
- Throughout your visit, your guide will share information about the islands, their wildlife, and the protected ecosystem.
National Park Regulations
Once you enter the Marietas Islands National Park, the following rules apply:
- Alcohol consumption is not permitted within the park.
- The application of sunscreen is prohibited before entering the protected waters, even if it is labeled reef-safe.
- Please follow your guide’s instructions at all times to help protect this unique marine environment.

Departure & Dock Fees
Some marinas charge a small departure or arrival dock fee, which is payable in cash on the day of your tour.
Additionally, departures from certain docks may require a one-hour relocation fee, depending on the requested pickup location. Any applicable dock fees or relocation fees will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

- A non-refundable deposit of $250 USD is required to confirm your reservation.
- Cancellations made 7 days or more before your scheduled departure are eligible for a partial refund, less the non-refundable deposit.
- Hidden Beach entry is subject to park regulations and availability and cannot be guaranteed.
- In the event of a tropical storm, tours will be canceled from 3 days before through 3 days after the storm, and guests will receive a full refund.
- If unforeseen weather or personal circumstances prevent you from attending, you may reschedule your tour (subject to availability).
- Reservations may also be transferred to family or friends at no additional cost.
- If we cancel your tour due to unforeseen operational circumstances, you will receive the option of a full refund or credit.
- To cancel, reschedule, transfer your reservation, or inquire about your booking, please contact us by email.
- No-shows will be charged the full tour price.
